Boilers, not just furnaces
Much of the older Duluth and Superior housing heats with hot water or steam. That is a different trade from forced air, and a lot of companies here are not comfortable with it. A substantial share of our winter work is boiler work.
Propane country too
Outside the city gas footprint, most of our 45-mile area is on propane, fuel oil, or electric with wood backup. Propane needs different orifices, different manifold pressure and real combustion testing — not natural gas practice applied loosely.

Every community within 45 miles of Duluth, Minnesota or Superior, Wisconsin — 66 towns across St. Louis, Carlton, Lake and Pine Counties in Minnesota and Douglas and Bayfield Counties in Wisconsin. We are licensed in both states and there is no surcharge for crossing the bridge.
Do you really answer the phone at 2am?
Yes — 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays, with a live person rather than a voicemail box. In a climate that reaches −20°F, an overnight no-heat call is not something that should wait until morning.
How much is a service call?
$89, and it is credited toward the repair when you approve the work. The same rate applies after hours — we do not multiply the diagnostic because it is the middle of the night. There is an after-hours labour rate, which we tell you on the phone before dispatching.
Do you work on boilers and radiator heat?
Yes, and it is a substantial part of our winter work rather than a sideline. A large share of older Duluth and Superior housing heats with hot water or steam, and it needs technicians who are genuinely fluent in hydronics rather than only forced air.
Do you handle commercial work as well as homes?
Both, and we keep them separate because they are different jobs. Commercial covers rooftop units, boiler plants, refrigeration, walk-ins, make-up air and maintenance agreements for restaurants, retail, clinics, schools, apartment buildings and industrial space.
Do you install cold-climate heat pumps?
Yes, and nearly every heat pump we install here is dual-fuel, so your furnace still takes the coldest nights. Modern cold-climate models hold useful capacity to around −13°F to −15°F, which covers most of our heating hours. The equipment sold twenty years ago genuinely did not work here; today's does.
